2011 Scholarships

Walter Patterson Scholarship for 2012-2013

Katie Pengra received the Walter Patterson Scholarship for 2012-2013 – Sponsored by the National Association of Broadcasters. Broadcast Education Association scholarships are awarded to outstanding students for study on campuses that are institutional members of the organization. She is the first Mass Communication student to win this scholarship.

Celebrity Scholarship

Valene Bummara received the Celebrity Scholarship given to outstanding graduate students at Texas State University. Dean Scholarship Valene Bummara received the College of Fine Arts Dean Scholarship given to an outstanding incoming mass communication graduate student.
