Robert Mann has an impressive background as educator and political/communications consultant. Mann received a Master of Journalism at the University of Colorado-Boulder in 1970. He completed one year of coursework toward a Ph.D at the Univeristy of Maryland; however, Mann withdrew to accept a position in the national political arena.
Mann has worked as political consultant for clients such as the Marty Akins Campaign for Governor, the West Wing and GSD&M. He also worked as Communications Director for the Texas General Land Office as a special assistant to Commissioner Garry Mauro and also as Communications Director for U.S. Senator Bob Krueger. Perhaps some of Mann's most exciting professional work experiences occurred during his position as Press Secretary for U.S. Senator Edward M. Kennedy, from 1984-87.
Mann is a lecturer at Texas State University, teaching Info Gathering and Mass Media and Society courses.
