Frank Walsh has been an associate professor at Texas State since 2004.  He specializes in public relations, teaching courses in public relations campaigns, publicity writing and advertising and public relations issues.  He also teaches a graduate level Media Law course.  Walsh received a Doctorate of Law and a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Montana.

In addition to his academic career, Walsh has worked as the Executive Director for both the Texas Pediatric Society Foundation, Physicians for Women's Health.  He is also the President and CEO of Smart Research Technologies, Inc., for which he is responsible for planning, execution and evaluation of a variety of marketing, advertising and public relations programs.  Walsh is the faculty adviser for PRSSA at Texas State and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Montana Bar Association.
