Patricia “Pat” Baldwin is a longtime journalist/communicator with experience at business journals, daily newspapers, consumer magazines and corporate communications. She has taught a breadth of courses, including Intro to PR, Writing for PR, PR Campaigns, Health Communication Campaigns, Feature Writing, Travel Writing, Mass Media & Society, Media Ethics, History of Mass Media, Intro to Advertising, and Sports Media. While Editor-in-Chief for Golf for Women magazine, her PR campaign for the magazine’s “Top FairWays” project received a Bronze Quill award from the Central Florida Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. She has served on the national board of the Association for Women in Communications. She earned a B.J. and M.A. from UT Austin and a PhD from the University of North Texas. From 2007-2012, she taught journalism at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. She has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at Texas State since fall 2012.
