Prisca S. Ngondo teaches in the public relations sequence in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University.
Ngondo has previously worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and PR at California State University, Chico. While at Chico State, Ngondo graduated from the Diversity Certificate Program, a workshop designed to help participants develop the necessary tools and resources to better serve the diverse members of the university and community.
Ngondo’s research interests are in strategic communication and health communication. Her main focus is bridging the gap between strategic communication research and practice. Her research has been published in the Public Relations Journal and Journal of Media and Communication. Ngondo continues to participate in several national and international conferences such as AEJMC, NCA and IPRCC, where she has received top paper awards.
In 2013, Ngondo was competitively selected to be a part of the Plank Center for Leadership in Public Relations Fellowship. She spent time at McDonald’s Corporation headquarters in Oak Brook, IL. During her time there she was exposed to the day-to-day activities of the PR department and held two workshops on PR Writing and PR Strategy.
Ngondo earned a Ph.D. in Mass Communications from Texas Tech University, an M.A. from The University of Oklahoma and a B.S. from the University of South Dakota.
Ngondo enjoys reading, traveling, eating, and spending time with family and friends.
