Harry Bowers serves as the Coordinator of Advising and Senior Academic Advisor for the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC). He’s been advising SJMC students for over ten years. In addition to advising duties he also coordinates the schedule of classes and undergraduate curriculum. Prior to working in the SJMC he worked with New Student Orientation and Campus Activities and Student Organizations.  
 
Harry holds a BA degree in Political Science and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Mediation from Texas State. In 2004 he was an invited presenter at the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) Annual Convention. In 2002 he was named University Staff Employee of the Month.
