Thank you for volunteering to be a mentor for Texas State University Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). We look forward to matching you with a student from the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (SJMC) who will appreciate your advice.
Your commitment is for one semester running now through April 2015 for Spring 2015. We are also accepting applications for Fall 2015 beginning August and running through early December 2015. The requirements include meeting with a student at least twice per semester and completing an evaluation form. Of course, you may spend as much time advising your student as time allows. For further questions contact Grace Capwell, APR, Lecturer and Professional Advisor to PRSSA (512) 310-2065 or email@example.com.
Areas of Expertise
To better match you with the right student, please describe your areas of expertise including number of years in the industry, industries worked for, and any areas of specialization (e.g. crisis communications, agency experience, in-house experience, APR, public affairs, technology sector, etc.)
Would you be willing to participate in promotional opportunities like a photo and video with your mentee? By highlighting your participation, we could grow the program and recruit new mentors. Our school continues to grow and the PR sequence is the largest in the school.
