A Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist with 30 years of experience, Rodolfo Gonzalez works independently as a photojournalist and a commercial photographer specializing in portrait, sports, fashion, food and travel photography.

A native of San Antonio, Texas, Rodolfo studied journalism, photography and mass communication at San Antonio College. He was a member of the Rocky Mountain News photography staff that was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the Columbine High School (Colorado) shooting in 1999. He also won a National Headliner Award, a Texas Headliner Award, the Barbara Jordan Media Award and numerous Texas Associated Press Managing Editors awards. From 2000 to 2016, Rodolfo was on staff at the Austin American-Statesman in Austin, Texas, where he continues to reside.

His latest adventures include photography workshops and visual experiences in Cuba, independently and with Road Scholar.

Other assignments including traveling the world to cover events and assignments ranging from major news events, such as covering border issues and the White House, and major sports events such as the Super Bowl, the World Cup, the Stanley Cup, the Olympics and the Tour de France.
