Jordon Brown is a lecturer in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Texas State University. Brown received his M.A. from Texas State in 2015 with a focus in Digital Media studies. His main interest is looking at how digital media impacts the world of politics. Brown’s thesis covered the way Battleground Texas utilized a new digital strategy during the Texas gubernatorial election of 2014.

Brown received a bachelor’s degree in film from Southeast Missouri State University in 2006. He worked on several major motion pictures, including Nanny Diaries and Take Me Home Tonight, before moving to Austin and running social media for a BBQ restaurant.

In his free time, Jordon can be found at the Alamo Drafthouse or hanging out with his pet pig Mortimer.
