Any internship you seek must provide opportunities to produce work for an internship portfolio. If you wish to receive course credit for an internship, download and complete the Internship Application. Don't forget to submit an unofficial transcript with your completed application. Then, drop it off in the main office in OM102.

  • Work side-by-side with agency owner, Vera Fischer, to conduct the following tasks:
    * Create Marketing calendar for agency
    * Manage social media posts.
    * Create email campaigns
    * Work within Hubspot automated marketing platform
    * Database management
    * Digital Research Assistance with marketing projects as needed

    Pay = $10/hr (1099 contract worker)
    10-12 hrs per week

  • MOSAK has paid internships in Graphic Design, Interactive and Account Services.

    The graphic design position involves everything from concept development and promotion design to production and storyboarding; the interactive position requires students to be familiar with social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Blogging, Tumblr and Hootsuite; the account services intern follows through with client projects, assists in strategic planning for campaigns, obtains vendor quotes for clients and does market research.

    Candidates should be junior or senior students studying advertising, marketing or a related field. Related experience from jobs, involvement in on-campus organizations or other internships is helpful.

    SXSW week typically occurs during Spring Break. The internships require up to 20 hours a week, plus a full-time commitment during the mega-event dates.   • EDF offers internships and fellowships for students and recent graduates in a variety of programs and departments throughout the organization. The ultimate goal of our internship and fellowship program is to provide high-quality experiences (including relevant projects and opportunities for networking) that form the foundation for any individual who is serious about pursuing an environmental career.

    The intern will work with the EDF+Business marketing and communications team to research conferences and identify media opportunities for EDF’s experts. The intern will learn how to use media tracking technologies and work with the team to optimize enagement on social media and elevate awareness of EDF’s work.

  • The University Honors Program seeks an intern to help promote the program and events through social media and print ads. A major project will include working closely with Texas State Office of Admissions on planning and executing an event during two Bobcat Days to help with recruitment of prospective high school juniors. The intern will also maintain the Honors Facebook page and manage Web content using Gato Content Management System; help in designing ads, fliers, creating press releases and PSAs for the various events put on by the Honors Program, including several Common Experience events. The student will be crucial in helping gain publicity for events and putting on the events. Experience in InDesign, Photoshop, Word, PowerPoint and Excel is a plus.   • Intern in the web department at KTBC-TV in Austin. The web department generates 20 to 30 stories a day and produces even more in the fall with high school sports. The internship will be one in which the students get hands-on training learning how to public and post stories to the website. They will also work with the newsroom in generating story ideas and helping manage social media platforms (Twitter and Facebook).   • Public Education interns will be working with HCWC to redesign and update its website; increase campus awareness by getting Texas State organizations and departments involved; make presentations and organize media campaigns; recruit volunteers and interns for HCWC programs; and help with special projects such as awareness month activities and fundraisers.   • The Texas State Alumni Association is offering a paid internship position. The internship is renewable for the following spring and fall semesters. The internship offers the following experience opportunities: public relations and marketing efforts, writing, special event planning and management and team development. Web content management will be a significant portion of the internship. Applicants with experience using standards-compliant markup languages including HTML, CSS, Javascript and Flash Action Script to create interactive and compelling Web content that allows for efficient delivery to a wide variety of end users are preferred.   • KXAN-Austin is looking for interns to join its Web team. You'll be right in the middle of the action, interacting with reporters, anchors and producers, and helping to provide content for KXAN.com and TheCWAustin.com. Tasks would include editing copy, posting videos, keeping an eye on wires, creating online photo galleries and much more. Beyond that, you'll have a chance to contribute your ideas to better Austin's most popular broadcast TV website.

    Knowledge of AP style is a must. Candidates will be required to take a brief copy-editing test. You must be registered in an internship class and receive credit during the semester you intern. The internship is an unpaid position, and you must be available to work 15 or more hours per week. Spring, summer and fall internships are available.   • The Bobcat Club, a part of the Texas State Athletic Department, works to raise money for student-athlete scholarships through donations from alumni and local business partners.
